Day 1
Flight from London Gatwick. Arrival in Havana. Airport pick up.
Day 2 (Monday)
FREE MORNING
3:00PM Salsa lessons- Introduction.
6:00PM Colonial tour. Walk the 4 squares of World Heritage Site, the city of San Cristobal de la Habana with a professional guide in the language chosen. Listen to the history of the foundation of San Cristobal de la Habana, monuments, and legends; get the fantastic atmosphere of the Cuban music, the cobbled stone streets, eclectic style houses and all different and fascinating architecture.
8:00PM Dinner and Welcome Party in the Cafe Taberna restaurant or Cafe Benny Moré. Founded in the 1770 with the influence of the French who running away from the revolution in the Island of Haiti introduce their coffee plantations in Cuba and their influence in the Cuban culture.
Day 3 (Tuesday)
10:00AM City Tour. After seeing Old Havana you should not miss the rest of the city of Havana, 19th century central Havana with faded buildings like they are out of a fantastic movie, Vedado with the combination of beautiful houses and the tall buildings, shopping centers and famous hotels like the former Hilton, once part of the Mob in Cuba, personalities like Meyer Lansky and Frank Sinatra have to do with this. Other places of interests and highlights of Havana : Miramar a terrain only developed by the aristocracy, the Revolution square, and full of legends and monuments the cemetery Cristobal Colon.
1:00PM Lunch in Dos Gardenias restaurant.
3:00PM Salsa lesson.
7.00pm Dinner in a family restaurant or Paladar to enjoy the home cooking in a garden of the house.
9:00PM Gun shot ceremony. At 9pm sharp a canon is shot in a ceremony that goes way back when the Spanish would do the same to announce the closing of the bay of Havana using a chain made of wood trunks and bronze rings to avoid the entrance of ships, and also the closing of the gates of the walled city.
Day 4 (Wednesday)
10:00AM Salsa lesson
2:00PM A visit to the Cigar Factory, a unique opportunity to see the whole process for the Cigar manufacture, the best cigar in the world. Learn the whole process for the rolling of the different brands. Cohiba, Montecristo, Punch ...
Free night to visit the exotic night clubs full with the Cuban rhythms, Makumba, Casa de la musica...
At night your guide will recommend a place to dance.
Day 5 (Thursday)
10:00AM Salsa lesson
Free afternoon to explore the city on your own and mingle with the Cuban people who will attract your attention as well as the incredible living old car museum. To see congregation of old cars go to the front of the Capitolio.
Dinner we suggest in the Aljibe restaurant, specialized in typical Cuban chicken and black beans.
Free night to go to a salsa club. We recommend Casa de la Musica, Makumba.
Day 6 (Friday)
10:00AM Salsa lesson
Free day to go to the beach or explore the city and mingle with the Cuban people.
Day 7 (Saturday)
3:00PM Visit to Patio de la Rumba. Afro Cuban show.
Day 8 (Sunday)
10am Visit to Callejon de Hamel in Centro Habana. Rumba.
Day 9 (Monday)
10:00AM Salsa lesson. A last lesson where a competition will be held to show the skills learned.
9.30PM Live show: Cabaret Parisien in the Hotel Nacional. Exotic dancers, singers and musicians in incredible costumes representing the different origins of Cuban music and culture; Spanish, afro Cuban...
Day 10 (Tuesday)
2:30PM Salsa lessons.
9:30PM Go to Party in Casa de la Amistad called Pena de Chan Chan
Day 11 (Wednesday)
3:00PM We take this afternoon to have a wonderful Boat trip in the litoral of Havana . Snorkeling, for three hours, ride finishes in Old Havana for you to enjoy the ambiance and charm of the city at night.

10:00AM Salsa lessons.
Farewell Party in Casa de la musica. We say goodbye with music, salsa and perhaps a little bit of the Cuban rum. Deliver certificates for salsa. |
